comfortable / casual: shorts, slacks, t-shirts, tops,
etc.

Bring a light jacket or sweater because the Carousel
House gets very cool in the early morning hours

help set up during the week at the Pecos River Village

The
Rules
Yes, there are a few to make sure it’s a fun, safe
night.
The
Senior Class said, “No Drinking! No Drugs! No Fighting!”
1.
Carlsbad Police will guard vehicles all night long.
Anyone with alcohol or if alcohol is detected in any
vehicle, the person(s) will be arrested. No exceptions!
2. No
food and only bottled water may be taken inside the
dance hall, casino, or convention center
3. To
Be Eligible for Prizes You MUST Stay the Entire
Night…and there are LOTS of prizes
4.
Courtesy / Security Room - This is a room located across
from the Casino where you may check in and out your
personal things for safekeeping. (i.e. purses,
yearbooks, cell phones, bingo prizes, etc.).
5. Have
fun and be good!

THE
PRIZES
1.
Prize System - Upon entering the party each senior will
be given a 2-part ticket: 1 to keep, and 1 to place in
the prize bucket. During the party hours, tickets will
be drawn and prize winners’ names and their prizes will
be recorded on a wall poster in the Casino area. Check
the poster throughout the night, as prizes must be
signed for at the prize table before 4:30am or they will
be re-drawn for at party’s end. (Hint: Seniors who stick
around until the very end will often have another chance
to win at the re-drawing.)
2.
Class Act Theme T-Shirt - FREE - Shirts will be
given out to all seniors at the front entrance at
party’s end. Be sure to drop by and pick up your shirt
with theme designed by a senior. If you indicated that
you wanted a larger size than XL, tell the attendant at
the shirt table.
Cash
Prizes
1. Door
Prizes - Every door prize will be at least $100 in cash!
Many
seniors will win a cash door prize (your chances are
good). And even if you win a $100 Door Prize, you will
still be eligible to win one of the Grand Prizes.
2. Door
Splits - All Money taken in at the door as admission fee
will be given out in increments as additional Door
Prizes to the seniors.
3.
Grand Prizes - will be awarded to four lucky seniors at
5:00am.
4.
Scholarships - Again this year, the Class Act Board has
partnered with Washington TRU Solutions to award four
$1,000-scholarships. Scholarship Applications are made
available in the Guidance Counselor’s office at CHS,
Phoenix, JMA, Victory Christian Academy and Faith
Christian School. Winners will be announced at party’s
end.
Other Prizes
Big
Ticket Drawings - such as Digital Video Cameras, Flat
Screen TVs, Dorm Refrigerators, laptop Computers,
Digital Cameras w/ Memory Card, I-Pods, and more. Only one prize per student for
this drawing.

FOOD
- Free food...Can't beat that!
Food
Café - an outdoor eating area - Tables will be set up in
the courtyard around the fountain, for those who want to
sit and enjoy the food, refreshments, or simply to
escape the crowd. NO FOOD AND ONLY BOTTLED WATER MAY BE
TAKEN INSIDE THE DANCE HALL, CASINO, OR THE CONVENTION
CENTER, so enjoy food and drink before entering the
building.
Grilled
Hamburgers and Hot Dogs prepared by the
Eddy
County Sheriff’s Posse at the beginning of the event
Pizza,
Sub Sandwiches, Burritos, Meat, Vegetable, and Fruit
Trays, Dips, Chips, Salsa, Nachos, Crackers, Ice Cream
favorites, Snack Mix, Coke products, Donuts, Cinnamon
Rolls, Milk, Coffee, Cappuccino, Orange Juice, and more.

ENTERTAINMENT / ACTIVITIES
1.
Music / Dancing – A fantastic DJ will entertain you from
10:00 p.m. until 4:30 in the Dance Hall. The music will
include all the types you requested on the Senior
Questionnaire.
2.
Photos – Candid photographs of you and your friends will
be staged throughout the evening and early morning
hours. Get all your friends together for that last
hilarious group shot. Just drop by the Photo Corner
(located at the north end of the Casino) any time during
the event for free photos. The photos will be online for
you to download.
3.
Little Vegas - This room is only for the fun loving.
Enter the world of excitement and chance. Only seniors
can actively participate but guests may watch and
encourage. Real money is no good here. Seniors must
proceed to the “bank” to exchange “Class Act bucks” into
tickets before the drawing at 4:30am. Tickets may be
placed in prize boxes for additional chances to win. All
seniors will be given tickets upon entering the party
and in other events areas all through the night.
4.
Bingo - This area is open as a slower paced activity,
and offers the opportunity to pick up some really nice,
unique prizes. Everyone, seniors and guest may play, but
only seniors can claim prizes.
5.
Dance Contests - You wanted dance contests. These will
be held throughout the event with winners earning cash
prizes. Check the posters throughout the building for
kinds and times of these contests.
6.
Basketball, Ping Pong, Pool and Video Games - Find some
fun in the Class Act Game Room. The basketball court is
located behind the Carousel House on west patio. Get
basketballs from the Game room
7.
Inflatable Fun - Xtreme Inflatables are back! Be sure
and wear a light jacket for these all-hour outdoor
events.
8.
Movies
- A place to crash and watch requested movies. Check the
marquee for titles and times.
